Tap and bottled water are usually neutral in pH and contain no dissolved hydrogen. Drinking-grade alkaline and neutral water are best enjoyed fresh. If you need to store them, use a light-proof container filled to the very top to limit air contact, keep it refrigerated and replace your daily bottle each day. Beauty water and cleaning waters can be kept slightly longer but are best refreshed weekly.

ORP (oxidation-reduction potential) is the electrical potential of water measured in millivolts. Standard tap water has a strongly positive ORP. Fresh alkaline ionized water from our systems typically reads negative — a property associated with the dissolved hydrogen produced during electrolysis.

Why does freshly ionized water sometimes look slightly cloudy?

That faint white haze is simply hydrogen micro-bubbles released during electrolysis. Let the glass rest for a minute and it clears completely. It is harmless and is in fact a sign that the cell is working well.

How do I start using alkaline ionized water?

Begin at the lowest drinking setting (around pH 8.5) for the first one to two weeks and let your body adjust, then gradually move up to pH 9.0 and 9.5 based on how you feel. Children and elderly family members should start at an even lower setting and increase slowly.

Neither cleaning water is for drinking.

The electrolysis cell self-cleans by automatically reversing the current at set intervals. To keep mineral build-up to a minimum in harder-water areas, we recommend running beauty-water mode for a short cycle once a day. Wipe the exterior with a soft damp cloth — avoid abrasive cleaners.

Are the white flecks that sometimes appear in the water harmful?

No. They are mineral clusters (calcium, magnesium and similar) crystallising on the electrolysis plates and occasionally breaking off. They are harmless to consume. Running the system in beauty-water mode periodically helps clear them.

What if the water flow becomes slow or weak?

Slow flow is usually mineral build-up restricting the cell or a filter approaching the end of its service life. Contact our support team — we will inspect the unit, descale the cell and replace consumables as needed.
